Built on
experience.
Residential renovation, refurbishment and construction across London.
More than
25 years of building.
California Designs UK has been renovating and improving residential properties since 1999.
Our experience spans individual spaces, structural alterations and complete house renovations, giving us an understanding of both the visible design and the construction hidden behind it.
Homes, materials and expectations have changed considerably over that time. Our approach to the work remains straightforward.
Respect the property.
Understand the detail.
Communicate clearly.
Build things properly.
Craft and
construction.
Good renovation requires both.
Behind every finished room is a less visible layer of structural work, plumbing, electrics, insulation, waterproofing, preparation and problem solving.
These elements matter just as much as the materials you eventually see.
That is why we approach the entire home as one connected project.
Respect what
came before.
Older properties often reveal their history as work progresses.
Original materials, previous alterations, ageing structures and hidden repairs all require judgement about what should be retained, repaired or replaced.
Where possible, we believe in preserving the character that gives a property its identity while improving the structure, performance and functionality around it.
Considered homes.
Built properly.
Whether we're transforming an entire property or one important part of it, the objective remains the same: thoughtful construction, careful finishing and a home built to be lived in.
